I've always thought that menswear inspired shoes, such as these mirror metallic silver oxfords for women would be too cool for me. I still think so to a certain extent, but strangely enough as I get older, I feel I can pull off a lot more shoe & fashion styles. You know, like those grannies who can pretty much get away with anything because they're…well…old? Vast exaggeration on the age factor aside, I couldn't wait to style these Italian-made & incredibly delicious dark metallic oxfords in a street style post on the shoe blog. And of course, wear them in my day-to-day life!

Mirror Metallic Silver Oxfords, Styled
There are many things to love about trendy menswear-inspired flats such as the brogues & loafers available this Fall 2015 season. Not only are they a heck of a lot more comfortable than high heels, they're the perfect shoe to create a polished look whether you opt for denim, dresses or a plain black suit. Wear them to work instead of pumps or get a pair of slick mirror metallic oxfords such as these ones to complete a little black dress or full on tuxedo for a fancy night out. The versatility of this style is seemingly endless. But as I love to mix ‘hard' materials with softer pieces, structured ones with organic forms, knits with my semi fluffy cocoon coat from Max&Co (styled in a prior post here with buckled black moto boots) was the perfect combo for my tastes.
Of course, Autograf New York isn't the only brand that sells this type of footwear style in shimmery form, from looking at the selection in the widget above. But it's certainly one of best price vs. quality silver brogues, considering the closest oxford-type shoe of its kind is from Giuseppe Zanotti at a much steeper price. And Autograf NY carries a full range of Women's sizes from 4-13 (5-13 in this particular style), which is pretty fantastic. If you're on a tighter budget, Nine West actually has a decent version available, also featured above (it's metallic but un-“mirrored”).
Oh & don't mind my hair. It started to rain as soon as we starting snapping pictures & yeah, well, everything strand starting unravelling! And I need a serious hair makeover, but I digress….Thankfully these metallic silver oxfords are made of patent leather, so at least something I was wearing was somewhat protected! I wouldn't recommend wearing leather soled shoes in the rain, however. If you love metallics & want to splash in some puddles, these recently snagged & styled silver Hunter rain boots are a much more appropriate choice!
