My “green“, Earth-Day inspired Freak-Shoe Friday post this week features Prada. Well, sort of. Apparently this $1,500 boot/mary jane/false leg gem, available at netapoter.com has been concocted by Runway to Green, based on ruby red Prada heels.
To be honest, I don't dislike these boots entirely. They are rather clever, but they'd be that much quirkier if they'd been based on a Moschino design. Love 'em or hate 'em, at least a portion of the profits will go to a leading environmental organization!
On that note I wish you all a happy Earth Day 🙂 The least we can do is reuse & recycle our shoes, right?
What do you think of these leather boots?

Seriously. Shame on Runway to Green to not have multiple 'leg' color options.

One reason why I find this shoe/boot so freaky!

At first when I saw these, I only noticed the Mary Jane and thought "These aren't THAT bad" then, I noticed the boot part which, I hate to say reminds me of a prosthetic limb :( Prada is usually understated and chic. What happened?!!
The irony is that they created a shoe that is meant to fund an environmental cause but, that looks like the type of thing you'd impulse buy & then get rid of a season later. *smh*
