Freak-Shoe Friday: Stripper Toy Heels. No Joke.

While writing up today's Freak-Shoe Friday post & perusing my Facebook/Twitter/Pinterest news feeds, I came across @BethShak‘s FB post via @Shoed-In.com. And being that these lovelies were much more interesting, or be it, disturbing than the Westwoods I was going to feature, I present to you the “Stripper Toy Heels.”

Now, although the first impression seems to be that of “wow, a toy-shoe, how cute!”, a closer look should illicit a reaction more along the lines of, “wow, why the heck is a little boy playing with a stripper's shoe? While on said stripper's feet?”.

If this shoe were a classic Choo, Manolo or Louboutin design with wooden beaded heels tacked on, I'd consider them a playful, amusing oddity. But as the shoe chosen to act as a toy is that of the XXX footwear variety, a “freak-shoe” they do become. And a perplexing one at that.

So note to all moms: unless you want your toddler boy to grow up with Freudian disturbances à la Mel Gibson's character in What Women Want, please keep the wooden beads separated from the stripper shoes. Yes, a lesson in parenting. Within a shoe blog. Go figure.
