My friend from It's All Style to Me recently polluted my vision FYI'ing me this catastrophic creation via email. I was relieved, however, to discover that he had no intention of purchasing or wearing them. Wouldn't really fit with his ‘look'.
I like to think that I'm fairly open-minded. I'm all for mixing up styles or genres with respect to fashion, design & all the arts, but I just can't digest this combination. Be it I am & have always been averse to cowboy-style boots and their odd aesthetic, but I think most shoe lovers out there would agree with me that burgundy & gold tapestry fabric doesn't a western boot make pretty.
Or maybe I'm not avant garde enough to comprehend this design. Would you wear these?

PS: If you must know, you can pre-order them at Opening Ceremony for $750 US.

These are SO not me. I don't think I'd ever wear cowboy boots to begin with...and the fabric kind of looks like hotel carpeting.
