Freak-Shoe Friday: Newbark Does No Good

I understand Toms Shoes. Not only because of their socially conscious footwear mission, but because they look like actual shoes. Meant to be worn on the street. This pair by the brand Newbark does not. The pink lame' leather upper just adds insult to injury. If there's a pink shoe & even Barbie would refuse to wear it as a slipper, then we've got a problem!

If you read my blog often, you'll have noticed that I have an personal problem with outdoor footwear that looks or actually is meant to be worn indoors.  You know, like classic Uggs.  However, the pink blasphemy above (ironically named “Love”) retails for 395 US at Net-A-Porter.  Much more than it's winter counterpart. Ridiculous? I'd say yes.

So save yourself a few bucks & indirectly make a charitable shoe donation by grabbing this Glitters design by Toms instead!
